Wylene's Cranberry Sauce

    

Wylene's Cranberry Pear Relish 

 

 

 

This is a great Cranberry Sauce that our friend Brenda brought for our last thanksgiving dinner. (2011)

 

 

1 1/2
cups sugar
1/2
cup cold water
1
package cranberries, sored and washed
2
medium pears, cored and diced
1/2
teaspoon ground allspice
1/2
teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2
teaspoon ground cinnamon

 

 

 

Combine sugar and water in a large sauce pan.  Bring to boil stirring to dissolve sugar.  Boil rapidly uncovered for 5 minutes.  Add remaining ingredients and return to boiling.  Cook 3 to 4 minutes longer or until cranberry skins pop.  Stir often. 

 

Cool and serve.
